A summer breeze blew past through the window. It was a hot but breezy day afterschool. It was a kind of day where you just wanted to relax and take in some sun while still feeling cool. Unfortunately, no one in the SOS Brigade would get to do any of that. Haruhi Suzumiya, the Brigade leader, ordered each brigade member to do something. Kyon was ordered to find an AC and bring it back to her. Yuki was ordered to go to the library and check out books about how to find Time Travelers, Aliens, and Espers. No doubt, Yuki was busy looking at books that peaked her interest instead of obeying the orders. Mikuru was ordered to keep refilling Haruhi’s tea and Koizumi. Well Koizumi just sat there with that smile that could melt a thousand women.
“Koizumi!” Said the young girl filled with energy but not necessarily good energy. She was still upset at the fact that Kyon didn’t bring the AC yet.
“Yes Ms Suzumiya” Koizumi never hesitated to answer anything that Haruhi asks of him. He was her Yes-man.
“I going to go find Kyon.” She chugged the rest of her tea and stormed out of the room. Maybe the tea was making her even hotter in the head.
“So Haruhi and Kyon seem to like each other.” Mikuru said pouring Koizumi some tea.
“This is my special tea. I added sugar, milk and a secret ingredient.” Mikuru was at odds with herself. All she could think about was if she was flirting with him or not. She was blushing.
“Thank you. I always enjoy your tea.” Koizumi smiled. Koizumi and Mikuru both looked into each other’s eyes. It would appear that they were having a moment. A very touching one at that when…
“Hey everyone!” Haruhi kicked the door in almost breaking it off its hinges, dragging Kyon by the collar. “I found this little nobody wandering around in the city.” Haruhi pulled Kyon upwards almost breaking his neck in the process. “Explain yourself.”
“Look, you told me to find an AC and bring it back here.” Kyon was not too happy about being dragged back to the clubroom.
“Then why did I find you in the trash cans behind the school?” Haruhi was getting angrier and angrier by the second. Before Kyon could answer back, she turned around. “I’m not going to be your babysitter.” While the two school kids argued, Mikuru and Koizumi laughed.

Koizumi and Kyon were in a heated discussion about the topic of love. Alright maybe not so heated.
“What do you think of love?” Koizumi asked Kyon waiting for an intelligent answer.
“Love?” Kyon asked as if puzzled by such a simple question. “I’ve never given much thought about love. I don’t love anyone other than my sister and Haruhi.” Kyon stopped dead in his tracks. Haruhi turned her head.
“I heard my name. What are you two talking about?” Haruhi asked curious to know why her name was called. Kyon tried to think up a lie but before Kyon could answer back Koizumi said ended up saying
“We were talking about who would win in a fight me or you and Kyon said you.” Not the best lie nor the most believable one but it was out there. The only thing they could hope for at this point was for Haruhi to turn her head and ignore it.
“So Kyon you really think I could beat Koizumi up in a fight?” Haruhi got up close to Kyon when she asked that question. Kyon blinked for a second and answered.
“Why yes. I mean Koizumi is so scrawny. You could snap him like a twig.” I would imagine Koizumi’s thinking about taking Kyon to a closed space and kicking his ass there but he was classy enough to hide it.
“Hmph. Have some more respect for your Brigade Members.” Haruhi said while walking back to the computer. Kyon sighed and turned back to speak with Koizumi in a hushed tone.
“Alright. Now back to what we were saying about love. You can NOT tell Haruhi about what I said.” Kyon looked worried and pleaded with Koizumi not to tell. “If she knows about me liking here who know what torture I’ll get.” Kyon was starting to sound like a little kid who was afraid of being teased by a bunch of other kids for liking someone.
“Don’t worry. I won’t tell her about you liking her. I treat friends better than that.” Koizumi smiled at Kyon who was about to have a heart attack. He was sweating and his face was a red as a cherry. The Brigade went back to doing nothing. An hour passed and Mikuru asked.
“Where’s Yuki?” You could hear a pin drop at the silence. They forgot about Yuki being at the library. She blended in with the room so well that no one even noticed she was missing at all.
“Eh she’ll turn up eventually.” Haruhi said not caring that it was getting late and one of the brigade members were alone in a library. “Now let’s get back to the topic at hand.” Haruhi turned around and slammed her hands on the table. “We need mystery. What mysteries are in the world?” Haruhi asked the remaining brigade members.
“Well what about the mystery of why you won’t let us leave?” Kyon asked sarcastically. Haruhi walked over to the bookshelf grabbed a dictionary and threw the book. Koizumi saw what was coming and ducked. The book hit Kyon straight in the jaw. “You have a nice soft cover book on your desk but you decide to walk all the way over to the bookshelf and grab a dictionary.” Kyon said holding his jaw.
“Stop acting retarded!” Haruhi yelled at Kyon. “Look I’m done with this. Just go home. Meeting adjourned. Adios. Good-bye. GET LOST!” Haruhi screamed at the other brigade members.
“What about Yuki?” Mikuru said shyly. “If we aren’t here when she gets back she’s going to be-” Haruhi cut Mikuru off.
“Go to the library and tell her to go home!” Haruhi was yelling and throwing things. Everyone left everyone except Koizumi. Koizumi was still sitting in his chair. “Didn’t you hear me? GET LOST!” Haruhi yelled at Koizumi for the first time.
“I’m sorry Ms Suzumyia but I can’t leave until I find out what is troubling you.” Haruhi was on the verge of crying. “Something is wrong. Am I right?” Haruhi turned her head away.
“It’s nothing.” Haruhi said holding back her tears but she was only so strong. Soon the tears began falling. Koizumi went to get a napkin. When Koizumi gave her the napkin she threw herself on him. “Itsuki, I heard your conversation. I know Kyon likes me but what he said.” It was obvious that Kyon’s sarcasm was bothering her. She always liked him but each time he made a sarcastic comment it hurt her. There Haruhi was, one of the strongest girls in the world, crying.
